Who We Are.

Titus County Cares ribbon cutting.

Titus County Cares was formed in May of 2005 as a result of the 34 yr old Ministerial Alliance seeking a new way to expand and help the residents of Mount Pleasant and Titus County. A 10 person board made up of community leaders and pastors was elected to take the place of the Ministerial Alliance body. In the last two years, TCC has grown significantly in funds given out, office hour availability, office space and volunteer base!

The Titus County Cares Mission Statement: "Titus County Cares, a faith-based nonprofit organization, exists for the purpose of coordinating resources and services that will help meet the needs of the economically disadvantaged in Titus County".

The best way to describe TCC is an umbrella organization. There are many different agencies that TCC has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with under the umbrella. This simply means that we help, support and refer people to these agencies and vice versa. The following agencies are under the umbrella: Salvation Army, Empty Stocking, Backpack Program, SAFE-T Crisis Center, Communities in Schools, Child Development Center, Sally's Hope, Habitat for Humanity, Clothes for Kids, Coats for Kids, and the Food Pantry. Many of these agencies operate independently, but having an MOU allows us to come together and support each other in a unique way that will best serve our community.
