Summer Family Nutrition Program

Titus County Cares (TCC) Food Pantry is the recipient of a special summer program to help families with food!!  The East Texas Food Bank (in Tyler) has announced that TCC will receive 402 boxes of food (each month for June, July, and August) to assist families with children.  Ideally, the boxes of food would be a great supplement for families during the summer while children are not in school.  This program is especially helpful since the Backpack Program is not in effect during the summer months.  The box of food is approximately 45 pounds of additional food that can be given while visiting the Food Pantry.  To find out more information, please call the TCC office at 903.575.9157. 

TCC May assistance statistics

Food Pantry   served 538 familes; 1,883 individuals

Emergency Assistance Program    helped 49 familes; 150 individuals.  Total of $4,030.38 of assistance extended to help with electric, gas/propane, water, rent, and medication.

Familywize presciption card savings for May had 51 claims with savings of $623.93.  This was a record savings for a month...year to date savings is $1,643.20.
